Went to another doctor's appointment today. Dr. Clauss asked me how I was doing and if I was feeling okay, and we talked about the awful nausea that I've been going through and how I've dealt with it, and overall it was a positive appointment. I've lost 4 lbs partly because of the nausea but also because of the braces and not being able to eat very much. We'll see how my next appointment goes. But the negative thing that was brought up at the appointment was at the end. She asked me whether I had been bleeding at all and I said no, and she said she wanted me to have a follow-up ultrasound because they found some blood at the bottom of the placenta and that it sometimes happens but she wants to make sure that went away. I asked her if it was something that I should be concerned about and she said that because I wasn't bleeding that I shouldn't be worried. If I had been bleeding, that would be a sign of an increased risk of miscarriage. From having a miscarriage in March, that wasn't the best news that I could have heard. I'll be watching for bleeding and trying to stay positive until the next appointment. The ultrasound and next appointment is July 20th, so I've got 4 weeks to fret about this. Let's hope for the best.
