Turned 12 weeks along today and now just waiting for my ultrasound appointment to finally be able to breathe that sigh of relief and know my little one is okay. I went to my WIC appointment on Wednesday and they weighed me and found that I had lost a total of 9 lbs since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will go to my doctors appointment on Tuesday and see if I might have lost some more weight, hoping that after I finish the first trimester that I will bounce back and gain some weight. But since I haven't gained any weight so far, the WIC people want me to see their dietician and weigh me again to make sure I am eating the right foods and gaining weight. I have an appointment with them on August 18th, so let's think positive. It's funny, pregnancy is the only time when a woman can really not be concerned with gaining weight, and losing weight is a bad thing.
I want to be able to get past this crazy nausea and return to feeling somewhat normal in my stomach. I was sick with Aiden the entire pregnancy, but I haven't gone through as much throwing up this time. And when I do throw up, it's at night not in the morning, so maybe that means I'll be having a girl... cross your fingers :). I go through evening nausea. Starting at about 3pm, I start getting nauseous. I can't really eat much more than a sandwich before I get full and can't eat anymore. My stomach sticks out and is hard as a rock. I'm gonna talk to my doctor and see if she has any suggestions.
On another note, my sister, who is pregnant too and due a couple weeks before me, has gained 10 lbs, but doesn't look at all like she's pregnant. Then my other sister who is due in a couple weeks is ready to go and her baby just has decided to wait her out. My brother's girlfriend and their baby is doing just the same. My parents are going to have so much fun going from 2 grandkids to 6 in a short time. That's what happens when you have 6 children in your family. It'll be fun, for sure. :)
Well wish me luck for my ultrasound on Tuesday and I'll update as soon as I get the news. :)
